London, United Kingdom, August 2026 — Graeme Bird has been appointed Chief People Officer at Constellation Cold Logistics, taking responsibility for people strategy, leadership and organisational performance across the company’s growing European business. The appointment underscores Constellation’s focus on strengthening its leadership, organisational and people capabilities as it pursues its growth ambitions.
In his new role, Bird will work closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to strengthen leadership capability, develop talent and enhance organisational effectiveness. His remit will also focus on creating an environment that enables individuals and teams to perform at their best while building the people foundations required for scalable and sustainable growth.
Bird brings more than 20 years of experience spanning people, workforce transformation, organisational design and leadership. Before taking on the Chief People Officer role, he founded Ember Grid Consulting Ltd, where his work focused on workforce transformation, strategic change programmes, operating model design and leadership development.
Previously, Bird spent more than four years with Deloitte, progressing from Senior Manager to Director. During his tenure, he delivered strategic transformation programmes for Defence and Public Sector clients, including work involving talent modernisation, skills-based organisation development, operating model design and workforce transformation. Before Deloitte, he spent nearly eight years with KPMG UK, where he held roles including Senior Manager, Executive Advisor, and People & Change Advisor, working across workforce planning, organisation design, operating models and the future of work.
Earlier in his career, Bird held workforce planning and optimisation positions with IFDS, Hastings Direct and Aviva. His career progression from operational workforce planning into enterprise transformation and senior people leadership gives him broad experience across organisational capability and workforce strategy. Commenting on his appointment, Bird said he looks forward to developing talent, strengthening leadership capability and creating the conditions for both Constellation’s people and business to succeed.
