New York City, New York, United States, Septemberber 2025 – Emilee Christopher has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at Asphalt Green, a leading nonprofit in sports and fitness programming. In her new role, Emilee will lead the organization’s people strategy, talent development, and organizational culture as Asphalt Green continues its mission to promote healthful living for all New Yorkers.
Prior to this appointment, Emilee Christopher served at Public Preparatory Network for nearly 12 years, most recently as Chief of Staff, where she played a pivotal role during a critical leadership transition. She led cross-functional teams across HR, Operations, Compliance, Enrollment, and Technology, while ensuring business continuity and driving operational efficiency.
Before that, as Chief Talent Officer, she managed the consolidation of campuses, organizational restructuring, compensation strategy, and HR operations. Her earlier roles included Managing Director of Talent, Director of Human Resources, Director of Staff Recruitment, and multiple leadership positions during which she established herself as a people-first, systems-driven leader.
Before joining Public Prep, Emilee worked as Director of Program Development at Catalyst Network Foundation, where she built curriculum and mentoring programs for youth development. She also held various academic and operational roles at Girls Preparatory Charter School of New York, where she was instrumental in launching new campuses and overseeing finance, staffing, HR, and operations.
Over the years, Emilee has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College – CAPS, teaching organizational development and HR. She remains engaged in community work, currently contributing as a Board Member at Girl Unleashed, a youth empowerment nonprofit.
