Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, July 2025 – Emma Ashby has joined the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) as Vice President – Talent Acquisition, bringing with her more than two decades of rich experience in talent strategy, resourcing operations, and leadership development across global financial and consulting institutions. In this pivotal role, Emma will lead ADIC’s talent acquisition strategy, enabling the organization to attract and retain world-class talent aligned with its long-term investment vision.
Prior to joining ADIC, Emma spent over five years at BNY as Director of Recruitment EMEA, where she managed recruitment operations across 18 countries, led a team of up to 14 professionals, and handled key executive and board-level hiring. She also drove numerous DEI-focused initiatives, led INED succession planning, and earned multiple awards for her leadership and culture-building contributions. She was instrumental in evolving recruitment strategies and mentoring future HR leaders.
Earlier, Emma served as Recruitment Project Manager at Deloitte, where she led a pan-EMEA technology recruitment transformation project, supported diversity initiatives, and co-created employer branding tools to attract future talent. Before that, she held the role of Manager, Client Services at Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS), where she supported a variety of clients with talent acquisition strategy and operations.
Emma’s experience also includes critical leadership roles across financial institutions like Barclays, HSBC, and Hydrogen Group, where she managed large-scale recruitment operations, strategic workforce planning, and cross-border RPO projects. Her career began with early consulting roles at Badenoch & Clark, Robert Walters, and Hays, where she laid the foundation of her talent advisory and recruitment expertise.
