Houston, Texas, United States, January 2026 — Eric Gnospelius has started a new position as Chief People Officer and Partner at MGO (Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP), marking a significant leadership milestone as the firm continues to scale its global platform and people-first growth strategy. In this expanded role, Eric will lead the firm’s people agenda while also joining the partnership, reflecting MGO’s confidence in his leadership and long-term vision.
Eric has been associated with MGO for over two years and most recently served as Chief People Officer, where he focused on building the people processes, programs, and leadership capabilities required to support the firm’s next stage of growth. His work has centered on strengthening talent infrastructure, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness across a geographically distributed workforce.
Prior to joining MGO, Eric spent nearly nine years at BDO USA, LLP, where he held progressively senior roles, including Managing Director, Advisory – Transformation & Growth. In this capacity, he was responsible for shaping the firm’s inorganic growth strategy and managing the full M&A lifecycle—from deal sourcing and negotiation to integration and synergy realization. His tenure included the successful execution of multiple complex acquisitions across consulting, healthcare, digital, and financial services domains.
Earlier at BDO, Eric served as Director, Organizational Development, where he led major transformations in talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and leadership development. His contributions included redesigning the firm’s competency and partner progression frameworks, introducing analytics-driven engagement strategies, and serving on the firm’s strategic planning committee—linking people outcomes directly to business performance.
Eric’s foundational experience spans talent development, learning, organizational effectiveness, and post-merger integration across firms such as UHY Advisors, Smart Financial Credit Union, and Amegy Bank. Across these roles, he has consistently combined human capital strategy with operational rigor—driving measurable outcomes in productivity, engagement, profitability, and leadership readiness.
