Melbourne, Australia, June 2024 – Filomena Tassone has taken on the new role of Chief People and Compliance Officer at MTData. In this position, Filomena will work with the senior leadership team to ensure that MTData is a great place to work by overseeing reward and recognition, learning and development, performance, and employee engagement. She will also focus on strategic workforce planning, leadership support, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining MTData, Filomena was at Optus for over two years. She served as the Director of EB Partnerships, managing global technology partners supporting B2B customer strategies. Prior to this, she was the Director of Mobility Segment Partnerships, responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships for the SMB segment.
Filomena also worked at MYOB as a Strategic Business Partner, where she was responsible for developing and embedding the future vision of Sales & Support’s 1000+ workforce. Her role included strategic workforce planning, executive coaching, improving employee engagement, and organizational design.
Before her tenure at MYOB, Filomena took a career break to study, travel, and engage in volunteer work after spending nearly a decade at Telstra. At Telstra, she held various significant positions including General Manager, Enterprise Product Strategy & Transformation, where she led the Enterprise Product Strategy team, and General Manager, Product Partnerships and Governance, where she created and implemented a framework for managing key technology partners.
Earlier in her career at Telstra, Filomena was the General Manager, Managed Services & Partners, leading the Mobility Managed service portfolio. She also served as the Group Manager – HR Strategic Projects, leading major HR change and transformation programs, and the Group Manager – Risk Management and Business Operations (inc. Acting Chief Risk Officer), where she led the development of Telstra’s company-wide risk management strategy.
