Denver, United States, December 2025 — Flexential, a leading provider of secure and flexible data center solutions, has announced the appointment of Marilyn Tyfting as Chief People Officer. In this role, Tyfting will lead Flexential’s global human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational culture. She will report directly to Ryan Mallory, Chief Executive Officer of Flexential.
Tyfting joins Flexential following a distinguished tenure of more than a decade at TELUS Digital, where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer. During her time there, she oversaw HR strategy for a rapidly scaling global workforce that expanded from approximately 5,000 to more than 80,000 employees. Her leadership supported significant organizational transformation, including multiple mergers and acquisitions and a successful IPO. She was also twice recognized among Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network.
Earlier in her career, Tyfting spent nearly ten years in progressive HR leadership roles at Rogers Communications, ultimately serving as Vice President of Human Resources. Across these roles, she has built a reputation for aligning people strategy with business growth in complex, global environments.
Commenting on the appointment, Ryan Mallory, Chief Executive Officer of Flexential, said that Tyfting has spent her career creating environments where people can do their best work, adding that her experience in scaling organizations where culture and execution go hand in hand makes her the right leader as Flexential continues to grow.
Flexential currently operates more than 40 data centers across 18 markets and has experienced strong growth driven by rising demand for AI infrastructure, high-density colocation, and hybrid IT solutions. The company has raised approximately $1 billion in capital from leading institutional investors to support its continued expansion.
Sharing her perspective, Marilyn Tyfting said she was drawn to Flexential’s combination of deep technical expertise and a genuine commitment to its people. She noted that her immediate focus will be on building efficient and innovative people operations, strengthening leadership capability, and supporting Flexential’s ambition to remain an employer of choice as it scales.
