London, United Kingdom, October 2025 — Altimetrik has announced the appointment of Gautam Samanta as its new Chief Commercial Officer, marking a pivotal leadership addition as the company continues to accelerate its AI-first and digital transformation strategy. With over two decades of experience in financial services and technology leadership, Gautam brings an exceptional track record of driving business growth, forging strategic partnerships, and leading commercial transformations at global scale.
In his new role, Gautam will spearhead Altimetrik’s commercial strategy and global business development initiatives, with a focus on expanding client relationships, accelerating enterprise growth, and driving value creation through innovative digital solutions. His appointment reinforces Altimetrik’s commitment to strengthening its market position as a global leader in digital business enablement.
Prior to joining Altimetrik, Gautam served as President & Executive Board Member at Coforge, where he led the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) vertical and the European business. Under his leadership, the BFS business achieved a CAGR of over 40%, securing major strategic deals and expanding the company’s client base across Europe and North America. His ability to blend strategic foresight with execution excellence established Coforge as one of the fastest-growing IT and digital service providers in the financial sector.
Earlier, at Infosys, Gautam held leadership roles as Vice President – Financial Services and Client Partner, managing some of the company’s largest portfolios in Europe. He was instrumental in creating two of Infosys’ largest financial services accounts in the region and contributed significantly to the firm’s overall growth, earning accolades such as the Infosys Award for Excellence in Sales and Account Management.
Before Infosys, Gautam worked with Capgemini as Vice President – Financial Services, where he managed P&L for the UK and Ireland operations, building new client relationships and expanding existing accounts. He also played key roles at i-flex Solutions (now Oracle Financial Services Software), where he was part of the leadership team establishing the Global SaaS Business for Core Banking, and at ICICI Bank, where he served as AVP – Major Clients Group, managing strategic corporate relationships in the early phase of India’s banking liberalization era.
Gautam is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, where he earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a specialization in Finance and Marketing, and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where he completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. His combined academic grounding and professional experience have equipped him with deep insights into the intersection of business strategy, financial technology, and digital innovation.
