Troy, Michigan, United States, April 2026 — Westinghouse Electric Company has appointed Gilma Saravia as Vice President, Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to drive innovation, safety, and sustainability in the global nuclear energy sector.
In her new role, Gilma will lead the global HR strategy, focusing on talent transformation, leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and workforce strategy to support Westinghouse’s mission of delivering safe and reliable nuclear technology solutions worldwide.
Gilma brings over two decades of global HR leadership experience across technology, manufacturing, and consulting environments. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Altair, where she led the company’s global HR organization across 29 countries, overseeing talent acquisition, employer branding, M&A integration, executive compensation, culture, and employee engagement for a workforce of over 3,300 professionals.
Prior to Altair, she held a senior leadership role at Aptiv as Vice President, Global Human Resources, where she led HR and talent strategy for a 160,000-employee global organization during a period of significant transformation, including the company’s transition into a technology-focused enterprise and its structural evolution into two publicly traded entities.
Earlier in her career, Gilma spent several years at United States Steel Corporation, where she led global HR and Talent Centers of Excellence, driving enterprise-wide HR strategy, talent management, total rewards, and leadership communication aligned with business transformation initiatives.
She also brings deep consulting experience from her tenure at Deloitte Consulting, where she led global human capital engagements across regions including Americas, EMEA, and APAC, advising organizations on HR transformation, operating models, and organizational design.
Gilma began her career with roles at Empower Solutions and Accenture, building a strong foundation in HR consulting, technology implementation, and business transformation.
Across her career, she has demonstrated a consistent ability to lead large-scale HR transformations, align people strategy with business growth, and build high-performing global organizations.
