United Kingdom, August 2026 — Richa Tripathi has been appointed Director – Strategy & Transformation, Go To Market at Metro Bank (UK). In her new role, she will focus on segment strategy, customer value proposition, go-to-market strategy and business planning, including initiatives supporting the affluent customer segment.
Tripathi brings more than 20 years of experience across banking, financial services, strategy, transformation, wealth management, finance and business leadership. Before joining Metro Bank, she spent nearly five years with DBS Bank, most recently serving as Head of Wealth Management and Treasures in India. In that position, she led a business generating approximately US$40 million in top-line revenue and US$4 billion in assets under administration, with responsibility for a team of around 400 professionals across wealth products and distribution.
Earlier at DBS Bank, Tripathi served as Head of Strategy and Planning, DBS Bank India, where she spearheaded the establishment of the bank’s GIFT City branch, including strategic planning, technology platform development, business operations and product launches. She also served as Senior Vice President – Strategic Projects & Partnerships, playing a key role in the integration of DBS Bank’s acquisition of Lakshmi Vilas Bank, covering business and product processes, policies and broader transformation across the franchise.
Before DBS, Tripathi was Partner – CFO & COO at Prachetas Capital, where she helped establish a private equity fund in India and worked across finance, operations, governance and fundraising. She also served in senior finance and operating roles with Standard Chartered Investments & Loans (India) Limited, including responsibilities spanning finance, compliance, operations and digital transformation.
Tripathi previously spent more than 13 years with Standard Chartered Bank, holding leadership positions including Program Director – Strategic Initiatives, Director – Financial Inclusion and Associate Director – Wholesale Banking. Her work covered digital strategy, financial inclusion, priority-sector lending, transaction banking, strategic planning and new business development. She began her career with EY, working in tax advisory.
