Daisuke Horikawa Elevated to Chief Learning Officer / Chief Diversity Officer at NEC Corporation

Tokyo, Japan, April 2026 — NEC Corporation has announced the appointment of Daisuke Horikawa as Chief Learning Officer / Chief Diversity Officer, strengthening its leadership in people, culture, and organizational transformation. His elevation reflects NEC’s continued focus on talent development, diversity and inclusion, and people strategy as the company advances its long-term vision for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Before taking on this role, Daisuke Horikawa served as Chief Human Resources Officer at NEC Corporation. In that position, he was part of the company’s leadership framework and contributed to NEC’s people agenda across human resources and organizational priorities. His promotion to Chief Learning Officer / Chief Diversity Officer marks a natural progression in a career that has increasingly focused on leadership in learning, diversity, and transformation.

Prior to this, he served as President at NEC Management Partner.Ltd, where he gained further experience in organizational leadership and management responsibility. This role added to his profile as a leader with broad exposure to business operations, people management, and strategic execution within the wider NEC ecosystem.

Earlier in his journey, Daisuke Horikawa was Senior Director of Business Strategic Planning at NEC Corporation, where he contributed to strategic planning and business direction for the company. His movement from business strategy into top HR and people leadership roles reflects a well-rounded leadership path shaped by both strategic and organizational experience. Across these assignments, he has built nearly a decade of experience in human resources and organizational leadership, with strong expertise in talent development, diversity and inclusion, and people strategy across global markets.

He also holds strong academic qualifications from Keio University, further supporting a professional journey that combines business strategy, organizational leadership, and people transformation. His appointment comes at a time when companies worldwide are placing increasing importance on learning, culture, diversity, and talent readiness as drivers of long-term growth and resilience.
