Denmark, June 2026 — Inês Breda has been appointed as Senior Director, Head of Sustainability at GRUNDFOS, marking a significant milestone in her career spanning sustainability, water technology, innovation, research, and global partnerships.
Breda joins the sustainability leadership team after nearly seven years with GRUNDFOS, where she most recently served as Senior Manager of Global Partnerships and Alliances. In this role, she played a key part in building strategic collaborations, advancing sustainability initiatives, and strengthening partnerships across the global water ecosystem. Prior to that, she served as Product and Process Manager, Filtration Technology, where she contributed to innovation, product development, pilot testing, and the advancement of water treatment technologies.
Beyond her responsibilities at GRUNDFOS, Breda has been actively involved in shaping the global water sector through her contributions to the International Water Association (IWA). She currently serves as a Member of the Strategic Council and previously contributed to the Young Water Professionals Steering Committee, supporting leadership development and knowledge sharing within the industry.
Earlier in her career, Breda worked as an Expert of the Body of Knowledge for Water Scarcity in Southern Europe with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). She also completed an Industrial PhD with Skanderborg Forsyningsvirksomhed A/S, where she focused on improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of drinking water treatment plants while contributing to scientific research and international collaboration. Her professional journey also includes experience as a Research Assistant at VIA University College, where she supported laboratory research, academic publications, and educational programs.
With extensive expertise across water technology, sustainability, innovation, research, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement, Breda is well-positioned to lead GRUNDFOS’ sustainability agenda as the company continues addressing global water and climate challenges.
