Rome, Italy, August 2024 – Giovanni Iacobelli has been appointed as the Head of People Services & Digital HR at FiberCop, a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider in Italy. In this new role, Giovanni will oversee personnel administration, fleet management, mobility management, and travel management while also driving the digitalization of HR processes within the organization.
Giovanni joins FiberCop after an extensive career at TIM, where he spent nearly 10 years in various leadership roles. Most recently, he served as the Head of People Services for the Network, Operations & Wholesale department, where he was responsible for overseeing travel management, fleet and mobility management, and administrative services. Prior to this, Giovanni led the Digital HR & Business Process Framework department, focusing on digital HR transformation and process simplification across the company.
Earlier in his career at TIM, Giovanni held the role of Head of HR Information Systems & Business Process Framework, where he managed the implementation of key projects such as Oracle HCM Cloud and the Corporate University. His earlier experience also includes nearly 14 years at Telecom Italia in various HR and IT roles, where he played a significant role in transforming the company into an e-Company and managing strategic IT projects.
Before his long tenure at Telecom Italia, Giovanni worked as a Senior Manager of Strategic Planning at Auna in Madrid, Spain, where he was responsible for coordinating the company’s strategic plan, working closely with multiple teams and consulting firms. He also held a strategic staff position at Telecom Italia, where he coordinated and analyzed strategic plans for IT and innovation projects across various regions, including Cuba and Bolivia.
Giovanni began his career at Astaldi, where he served as a Controller for the America department, managing the administrative and operational aspects of the company’s subsidiaries in South and Central America.
