Newport Beach, California, United States April 2024 – Gretchen Benes has joined Green Street as the Director of Talent Acquisition, bringing over a decade of expertise in talent acquisition, recruitment strategies, and HR program implementation. In her new role, she will focus on driving Green Street’s talent acquisition efforts, enhancing candidate experiences, and optimizing recruitment processes to support the company’s growth and strategic goals.

Gretchen most recently served as a Talent Acquisition Consultant for her own consulting practice, where she provided expertise to various businesses, including ATS implementation, full-cycle recruiting, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) programs. Over the course of 11 years, she collaborated with small to medium-sized businesses to improve hiring processes and connect organizations with top-tier talent.

Prior to her consulting work, Gretchen was Director of Talent Acquisition – Programs & Operations at Teladoc Health, where she led a team of recruiters and developed programs such as EMERGE Talent and MBA Rotational. She also delivered a DE&I strategy aligned with the business needs and played a pivotal role in Workday and Greenhouse ATS implementations.

Earlier, Gretchen worked as Manager of Talent Acquisition at Kareo, a fast-growing healthcare technology company, where she managed a high-performing recruiting team and launched innovative programs like “Kareo Kandidate.” Under her leadership, the company achieved a positive interview experience rating of 85% on Glassdoor.

She also held roles as Senior Recruiter at T2C | Top Tier Consulting, where she implemented an ATS system and enhanced recruitment strategies, and as Direct Hire Recruiter at Devon & Devon Career Professionals, specializing in filling challenging IT positions and cloud computing roles.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
