Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – Vodafone Idea Limited has welcomed Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing his extensive HR and leadership development expertise to one of India’s largest telecom providers. In his new role, he will lead Vi’s human capital strategy, talent transformation, and cultural alignment to support the organization’s continued digital evolution and growth.
Gurucharan joins Vodafone Idea after serving for nearly six years as Head HR – Madura Fashion and Lifestyle at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he led transformative initiatives across HR operations, talent management, and employee engagement for one of India’s leading fashion retail businesses.
Prior to that, he held the position of Head – Learning and Development at Aditya Birla Capital for over five years, where he spearheaded capability-building and leadership development programs across the financial services portfolio of the group.
Earlier, Gurucharan led key learning and change management functions across the life insurance industry, including roles at Max Life Insurance and Bharti AXA Life Insurance, where he served as Head of Distribution Training and Head – Change Management, overseeing talent enablement and cultural transformation.
He began his career with Nicholas Piramal India Limited as a Product Manager, gaining early cross-functional experience before transitioning into the HR domain. With over two decades of experience, Gurucharan brings a unique blend of operational acumen and people strategy to his new leadership role.
