Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – October 2024 – Gururaj Hebbar has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer – IT Infrastructure at IndusInd Bank, where he will lead the bank’s technology infrastructure to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, Gururaj Hebbar served as the Head of IT Infrastructure at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he led infrastructure planning, system deployment, and technology operations for over two years. His responsibilities included developing resilient systems, ensuring security, and managing partnerships with external suppliers for IT infrastructure services. He also focused on future capacity planning and enterprise architecture alignment with business strategies.
Before IDFC FIRST Bank, Hebbar held the role of Senior Vice President, Head of IT Infrastructure at Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd. for over three years. In this role, he was responsible for delivering intelligent cloud services, maintaining SLA adherence, and leading IT operations. He also played a key role in implementing disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity during the pandemic, and managing infrastructure for over 640 branches.
Earlier in his career, Hebbar worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Vice President, where he led network infrastructure services for India and APAC, overseeing strategic data network goals and implementing cost-saving initiatives. He also held roles at Morgan Stanley, HP, and DSP Merrill Lynch Limited, contributing to IT infrastructure management, project execution, and network optimization across regions.
