Luton, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Harjit Kaur Basra has joined Mind BLMK (Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes) as the new Head of Human Resources. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and aligning the people agenda with Mind BLMK’s mission to support mental health and wellbeing across communities.
Most recently, Harjit took a short career break to focus on personal pursuits following her impactful tenure at IDBS (a Danaher company), where she served as Senior Director – Global Human Resources. During her time at IDBS, she led global people strategies and built talent and leadership capabilities to fuel business growth and innovation.
Before that, Harjit spent nearly 13 years with Leica Microsystems (also part of Danaher) in various leadership roles, including Interim HR Lead – EMEA, HR Business Partner – EMEA, and Regional HR Manager – Northern Europe. Her work spanned multiple countries and functions, with a focus on transformation, talent development, and cross-cultural alignment.
Earlier in her career, Harjit held senior HR roles at Monteray (BT Contract), British Safety Council, and Transcomm UK, where she shaped organizational development strategies and led HR transformation across diverse sectors. She also held foundational HR roles at Ladbrokes, QVC, and MBC Network, building her early expertise in advisory and employee relations.
