Cairo, Egypt, December 2025 – Hazem Elkattan has assumed the role of Head of Human Resources at EGBANK, marking a significant leadership milestone in his career. In this capacity, he is responsible for driving the bank’s people strategy, workforce transformation, total rewards architecture, and organizational effectiveness in alignment with EGBANK’s youth-centric and innovation-led culture.
Before his elevation, Hazem Elkattan served as Acting Head of Human Resources at EGBANK, following his role as Head of Compensation & Benefits, where he led enterprise-wide rewards modernization, performance frameworks, and HR governance initiatives across Egypt. His progression reflects strong internal leadership continuity and strategic HR stewardship.
Earlier, he worked with Agthia Group PJSC as Regional Total Rewards Senior Manager – International Business, strengthening reward structures and people governance across international operations. Prior to that, he held the role of Compensation and Benefits Senior Manager at Kellogg Company, where he managed compensation strategy and led HR transformation and integration initiatives across regional markets.
Hazem spent nearly a decade with HSBC, holding senior regional roles including Regional Performance & Rewards Manager – MENAT, Regional HR Risk & Control Manager – MENAT, and HR Service Delivery Officer, building strong expertise in governance, compliance, and performance management across the Middle East and North Africa. He began his career with Elkattan Trading EST., where he served as Deputy General Manager in the family business.
