North West, England, United Kingdom, February 2026 — Helen Crossley has started a new position as Head of People & Culture at Booths. In this role, she will lead the people and culture agenda across the organisation, supporting Booths’ continued focus on employee engagement, learning, and community-centric retail excellence.
Helen brings over a decade of deep organisational experience at Booths, having most recently served as General Manager – People, where she was responsible for HR, learning and engagement, and internal communications across stores, manufacturing, logistics, and the central office. Her work played a key role in strengthening people practices and aligning workforce strategy with business priorities.
Earlier in her journey at Booths, Helen held the role of Learning & Engagement Manager, where she focused on leadership development, capability building, and employee engagement initiatives. Beyond Booths, she has also built strong retail and people leadership experience with Preston College, contributing to programme delivery, and previously with French Connection as UK and Overseas Regional Manager, as well as Tucci, where she served as Area Manager.
With a career spanning retail operations, people leadership, learning, and engagement, Helen’s appointment reflects Booths’ commitment to nurturing talent, strengthening culture, and sustaining its position as one of the UK’s most respected regional supermarket chains.
