Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Alembic Pharmaceuticals has welcomed Mr. Amit Nayak as Vice President – Commercial Excellence. In this role, Nayak will focus on driving transformation across commercial excellence priorities, strengthening market capabilities, and enabling smarter, future-ready business decisions through structured governance and data-led performance enhancement.
With experience spanning MIS, SFA, SFE, and Market Excellence, Nayak brings a strong foundation in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and performance transformation. His background reflects a consistent focus on building capability frameworks, strengthening field governance, and improving productivity through analytics and process standardisation.
Prior to joining Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Nayak was with JB, where he most recently served as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Excellence Head, after leading the function as Commercial Excellence Head. Earlier, he was associated with Cipla as Cluster SFE Head, and previously held progressive responsibilities within Cipla across roles including Senior Manager and Associate Director, contributing to the development of commercial excellence processes, field performance programs, and capability-led governance mechanisms.
Earlier in his career, Nayak worked with QuintilesIMS (IQVIA) as an Associate Consultant, supporting consulting engagements in strategy, portfolio evaluation, and go-to-market planning for healthcare and pharma clients. He began his professional journey at EY as an Analyst within the Life Sciences team, supporting engagements and thought leadership initiatives.
