The Hague, Netherlands, June 2025 – Herbert van Ass has joined ARLANXEO as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and a member of the company’s Executive Team. In his new role, Herbert will lead global HR strategy, including workforce transformation, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and cultural alignment, across ARLANXEO’s multinational operations.
Prior to this, Herbert served at MorphoSys in various global leadership roles, including Vice President, Head of Human Resources AG and VP, Head of Global Compensation & Benefits and HRIS, where he led HR transformation, M&A integration, and organizational culture initiatives. His contributions spanned compensation design, strategic workforce planning, and business-aligned HR systems across geographies.
Before joining MorphoSys, Herbert worked at Liberty Global as Director of Compensation and Benefits, managing C&B and global mobility strategies for a 25,000-strong workforce. Earlier, during his 16-year tenure at Fujitsu, he held several senior positions including Head of Global Mobility Europe & Oceania, Head of Compensation & Benefits for the Nordic Region, and Head of Compensation & Benefits CEMEA & India, overseeing HR programs across more than 35 countries.
Herbert began his HR journey as International Reward Manager for Continental Europe and the Nordics, developing his expertise in international HR strategy, leadership effectiveness, and global reward systems.
