Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — H&M has appointed Gorav Puri as Regional Controller (CFO) for H&M India, marking a key leadership move as the company continues to strengthen its financial and operational governance in the market.
In his new role, Gorav Puri is responsible for overseeing financial strategy, control, and performance for H&M’s India operations. He brings with him more than a decade of experience within the organization, having worked across finance, business development, and global growth roles spanning India and Europe.
Gorav most recently served as Head of New Growth & Business Development (India) at H&M, where he focused on identifying and scaling new business opportunities in the market. Prior to this, he held global roles in Stockholm, including Value Stream Manager for External & New Sales and Head of Product Area for External and New Sales Channels, contributing to marketplace expansion and channel strategy. His earlier global assignment as Global Marketplace Responsible further strengthened H&M’s external sales ecosystem.
Before moving into global roles, Gorav played a pivotal role in India as CFO, Country Controller India (Retail), overseeing financial operations during a period of rapid retail expansion. He also served as Central Controller India (Retail) and Leasing Manager India, Expansion, supporting store growth and financial planning. Earlier in his H&M career, he was CFO, Country Controller India (Sourcing & Production), where he led business controlling for operations across India and Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining H&M, Gorav worked with AstraZeneca in Sweden as Country Transition Lead and Change Program Manager, contributing to HR operating model transformations in the Nordics. He began his professional career as a Management Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Stockholm, where he advised clients across industries on strategy and transformation initiatives.
