Boston, Massachusetts, United States, February 2026 —Boston Medical Center (BMC) has appointed Holly V. Malkasian as Vice President, Total Rewards, reinforcing its leadership across enterprise-wide people strategy within the Boston Medical Center Health System.
In this role, Holly leads the enterprise-wide total rewards strategy, overseeing benefits, compensation, HR data analytics, HR technologies, payroll, and well-being across the broader health system. Her responsibilities span Boston Medical Center (BMC), BMC Brighton, BMC South, WellSense Health Plan, Clearway Health, Boston Health Net, and a strategic partnership with Boston University Medical Group, supporting a workforce of over 15,000 employees.
Prior to this appointment, Holly served as Vice President, People Operations at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she was responsible for innovations and strategic initiatives across benefits, compensation, HR technologies and data analytics, occupational health, immigration, talent acquisition, HR service center operations, and ERP implementation. Her tenure was marked by enterprise transformation and modernization of HR infrastructure.
Earlier, she held the role of Vice President, Human Resources – Total Rewards at University of Vermont Health, where she designed and executed an HR Shared Services model, including the creation of a Total Rewards Center of Excellence to harmonize compensation and benefits plans across seven hospitals in Vermont and northern New York.
Her career also includes senior leadership roles at Vistaprint, Clarks, Aquent, ZOLL Medical Corporation, and Priority Health, building deep expertise across global total rewards, HRIS, mobility, payroll, and strategic workforce design.
With a strong track record in building scalable HR models and modernizing reward frameworks across complex healthcare systems, Holly now steps into this pivotal leadership role to further strengthen Boston Medical Center’s equity-led, people-first healthcare mission.
