NEW YORK, New York, United States, April 2025 — Hornblower Group, a leading global experiences and transportation company, has announced the appointment of Ali Chaudhry as Executive Vice President and Lead of Government Partnerships, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Chaudhry will be responsible for enhancing the company’s relationships with key government stakeholders and community leaders, shaping public policy initiatives, and advancing strategic partnerships across public and private sectors.
Chaudhry brings extensive expertise in infrastructure, government relations, and business development and will support the strategic growth of Hornblower’s Ferry and Attractions division, while contributing to broader organizational objectives.
Prior to joining Hornblower Group, Chaudhry served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Development & Government Relations at AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm. During his seven-year tenure, he led business development across the East Coast, the Caribbean, and South America, spearheading public-private partnerships in transit, aviation, and clean energy. Notably, he was a key figure in landmark infrastructure projects such as the JFK Airport redevelopment, Penn Station redevelopment, Brooklyn-Queens Expressway repairs, and the Grand Central Madison rail terminal.
Earlier in his career, Chaudhry served in the New York State Executive Chamber as Deputy Secretary for Transportation and Deputy Secretary for Economic Development, overseeing major transportation agencies including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the Department of Transportation, as well as economic development institutions such as Empire State Development and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal. He also acted as lead counsel for transformational projects including the LaGuardia Airport redevelopment and the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.

Chaudhry holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.
