Singapore ,July, 2026 — Inchcape has appointed Ian Burton as Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific (APAC), effective August 1, 2026, strengthening its regional leadership as the global automotive distributor continues to expand its presence across the Asia-Pacific market. In his new role, Burton will lead Inchcape’s APAC business, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and partnerships with leading automotive brands across the region.
With more than 30 years of global leadership experience across the consumer goods, confectionery, and international business sectors, Ian Burton brings deep expertise in general management, commercial strategy, business transformation, market expansion, and regional leadership. His appointment reflects Inchcape’s commitment to accelerating growth and delivering sustainable value across its Asia-Pacific operations.
Prior to joining Inchcape, Ian Burton served as Business Unit President – APAC at Perfetti Van Melle, where he led the company’s Asia-Pacific business and drove commercial growth across diverse regional markets. Earlier, he served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Tiger Brands, contributing strategic guidance at the board level.
Before Perfetti Van Melle, Ian Burton built an extensive international leadership career with Mars and Wrigley, holding several senior executive positions across Asia, Europe, Africa, and China. His leadership roles included President – China, Mars Wrigley Confectionery, Regional President – Asia Pacific, Regional President – Europe, Managing Director – UK, Managing Director – Mars Africa, and Trading Director – Masterfoods Europe. Throughout his career, he has successfully led business transformation, market expansion, commercial growth, and high-performing teams across multiple international markets.
