London, England, United Kingdom, November 2025 — Jaakko Kotila has been appointed as Director, Business HR & Talent Management at WithSecure, marking a strategic step in his career with the European cybersecurity leader. In this expanded role, he will lead global talent, leadership, and HR strategies while aligning people capabilities with WithSecure’s vision of proactive, outcome-based cybersecurity.
Jaakko has been an integral part of WithSecure for over three years, where he has held progressively senior roles. Most recently, he served as HR Business Partner, Operational Excellence, where he played a pivotal role in transforming organizational workflows by integrating data, tools, and performance management systems to improve end-to-end value delivery. Alongside, he continued to lead the Talent Management function, driving initiatives that enhanced employee engagement, leadership capability, and organizational agility.
As Head of Talent Management, Jaakko spearheaded the company’s talent strategy, global review processes, and leadership development frameworks. He introduced scalable programs to build the competencies of cybersecurity professionals and implemented online learning architectures that blended technology with human-centered development. His leadership in designing talent pipelines and succession plans has been instrumental in preparing WithSecure for its next growth phase.
Prior to joining WithSecure, Jaakko worked at Fiskars Group as Manager, People Development and Engagement, where he led several strategic HR projects, built competence development programs, and co-created a three-year HR strategy to drive growth. He was also a member of the global HR management team and diversity and inclusion taskforce, shaping the company’s cultural evolution and performance management frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Jaakko served as a Strategy Consultant at Accenture, focusing on business strategy, organizational design, and agile transformation initiatives. His earlier roles at Aalto University Executive Education, Nordic Institute of Business & Society, and Aalto University IT Program honed his expertise in leadership development, research-driven talent analytics, and customer-centric innovation—skills that now define his approach to HR leadership.
