Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, December 2025 – Jack MacDonald has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at ADGA Group, marking a significant progression in his leadership journey with the Canadian defence and security technology company. In his new role, he will oversee business services, program delivery, and cross-functional value creation as ADGA continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner to government and industry clients.
At ADGA Group, Jack MacDonald has built a strong track record over the past few years, progressing through roles as Senior Program Manager, Technical Director, Technical & Commercial Director, and Vice President Business Services before being elevated to Chief Operating Officer. In these positions, he has led mission-critical security solution teams, driven business transformation, and championed program management excellence for complex federal government and defence programs, with a consistent focus on delivering value-added solutions for clients.
Prior to his current leadership responsibilities at ADGA, Jack MacDonald served as Head of Innovation, Technology & Socio-Economic Benefits at Babcock Canada Inc. In this role, he was responsible for identifying and managing innovation and applied technology solutions that enhanced business efficiency and market opportunities. He also managed a multi-billion-dollar offset program under Canada’s Industrial and Technological Benefits policy, working closely with government stakeholders and C-suite leaders in both Canada and the UK to ensure delivery, compliance, and long-term economic impact.
Earlier, Jack MacDonald held several senior roles within the Department of National Defence, including leadership responsibilities in the Project Management Support Organization, Deputy Project Manager – Canadian Surface Combatant, and the Maritime Program Management Strategic Initiative. Across these roles, he led and mentored high-performing teams, helped shape project and procurement policies, and played a central role in defining technical requirements, evaluation frameworks, and benefits realization guidelines for some of Canada’s most complex defence procurements.
Before transitioning to civilian leadership roles, Jack MacDonald spent more than two decades as a Naval Engineering Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes, serving in a range of engineering, capability development, strategic planning, and operational roles. His extensive experience under high-tempo and challenging conditions laid the foundation for his later work in defence procurement, program management, and technology innovation, and continues to inform his leadership approach at ADGA Group.
