Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, April 2025 – Janice Guzzo has stepped into the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), marking a significant leadership elevation within the organization. In her new capacity, she will lead all aspects of AIMCo’s HR strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, development, organizational culture, and aligning HR priorities with AIMCo’s long-term investment and business objectives.
Janice has been with AIMCo for over 11 years, where she has taken on progressively senior roles. Most recently, she served as Managing Director, Global Partnerships & Total Rewards for approximately 2.5 years, spearheading strategic initiatives in compensation and global talent partnerships. Prior to that, she held the role of Vice President, Human Resources for nearly 7 years, playing a pivotal role in advancing AIMCo’s people strategy. Her earlier role at AIMCo was as Director, Human Resources, where she worked on integrating a progressive HR framework aligned with organizational goals.
Before joining AIMCo, Janice served at Acrodex for more than 4 years, including roles such as Chief Resource Officer and Director, Human Resources. In these positions, she provided strategic leadership across HR, health and safety, and corporate services functions, and was responsible for implementing HR systems and corporate services initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Janice held HR leadership roles at North American Construction Group as Manager, Recruitment & Workforce Planning, and at Lilydale Inc. as Manager, Selection & Staffing, where she specialized in workforce planning, employee relations, and strategic staffing programs across Canada.
She also spent over 11 years at SaskTel, holding multiple senior HR and labor relations roles, including Labour Relations Director, Strategic Planning & Staffing Manager, and Human Resources/Industrial Relations Solutions Manager. These roles gave her deep exposure to organizational change management, labor negotiations, workforce analytics, and diversity and equity programs.
