Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Jaya Jamrani has rejoined Castrol as Vice President – Global Marketing for Cars, marking the beginning of her second tenure with the global lubricants giant. Jaya will lead the marketing strategies for Castrol GTX and Castrol MAGNATEC, leveraging her extensive expertise in brand leadership and strategic marketing to drive growth and innovation in the global automotive lubricants market.
Jaya brings over 15 years of diverse experience to her role at Castrol. Before rejoining, she took a sabbatical in 2023 to pursue creative interests, including a writing course at the Arvon Foundation, UK. During her previous tenure with Castrol, she served as Vice President Marketing – India, leading marketing efforts across India and South Asia, and as Deputy Marketing Head, driving growth in the Cars and Bikes categories. She also held global roles, including Global Brand Lead – Trucks and Category Lead – Bikes, where she spearheaded strategic initiatives and award-winning campaigns.
Prior to Castrol, Jaya gained valuable experience at Unilever, where she worked as an Area Sales and Customer Manager, handling key regions like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Mumbai Metro. She began her career as a Business Leadership Trainee at Unilever, gaining hands-on experience across sales, marketing, and rural social contributions.
Jaya holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, where she was a core committee member for the annual inter B-school event Manfest.
