India, June 2026 — JK Fenner (India) Ltd has announced the appointment of Jegapriyan Govindarajan as the company’s new President. Based out of Chennai, he will report directly to Vikrampati Singhania, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of JK Fenner.
Govindarajan brings nearly three decades of experience across the industrial and automotive sectors, with a proven track record of driving business transformation, operational excellence, and profitable growth across both multinational and domestic organisations.
Prior to joining JK Fenner, he served as Managing Director (India) at Garrett – Advancing Motion Technologies India. Over the years, he has held several key leadership positions including Managing Director at Tecumseh Products Company and Managing Director at Valeo Lighting Systems India, where he was responsible for India regional operations, P&L management, and business development for Valeo’s Lighting & Wiper businesses.
Earlier in his career, Govindarajan worked with Ingersoll Rand India as Plant Head, overseeing the company’s largest manufacturing facility in Naroda, Ahmedabad. He also held multiple leadership responsibilities at Anand Group (Gabriel India Limited), where he led manufacturing operations, greenfield projects, and joint venture initiatives with global partners including Valeo and Mando.
His professional journey additionally includes stints at Tata Cummins Limited and Sundram Fasteners Limited, where he contributed significantly towards manufacturing excellence and TPM initiatives.
Academically, Govindarajan pursued Business Management with specialization in Strategic Management & Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur. During his time at XLRI, he was recognised as a topper in marketing subjects and also served as the Editor of the annual publication ‘Executive Excellence’.
With his extensive industry expertise and leadership experience, JK Fenner is expected to further strengthen its growth trajectory and innovation-led business transformation initiatives under his leadership.
