USA, May 2024 – Jennifer S. Valencia has been promoted to the position of Senior Director HR Global Learning at Baxter International Inc. With over 3 years of dedicated service at Baxter International Inc., Jennifer has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision in global training and development, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success.
Jennifer’s most recent role was as Director of Global Learning Solutions, Quality Training for approximately 4 years. In this position, she led the vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of global training and development programs throughout Baxter’s Quality and Integrated Supply Chain Organization. Jennifer was responsible for the strategic design, development, implementation, and evaluation to identify opportunities for improvement. She also served as the architect of a multi-year learning roadmap and operational plan, partnering with learning leaders from other top companies.
Before that, Jennifer worked at Genentech for about 4 years as a Training Manager. She planned and executed training and development programs focusing on Quality, Quality Control, and Safety, managing multiple initiatives and directing global quality projects and technical changes. She played a crucial role in developing a multi-year technical training roadmap and improving communication and access to information.
Earlier, Jennifer spent around 8 years at Illumina. She started as a Senior Technical Training Specialist and later became the Manager of Global Quality and Operations. At Illumina, she oversaw the development and deployment of Quality and Compliance training, managed a team, designed strategic roadmaps, executed internal audits, and co-founded the Global Learning Steering Committee.
Jennifer also served as a Supervisor, Change Control at Advanced Bionics for over a year and as an Associate Professor of Communication at San Francisco State University for about 5 years, contributing to the academic field and training future professionals.
