Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Jigar Thakkar has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Zydus Health Care Ltd, a leading biotechnology-driven healthcare organization under the Zydus Group. In this role, he will oversee the company’s financial strategy, governance, and capital stewardship, supporting Zydus’ continued focus on innovation-led research, global healthcare solutions, and the delivery of affordable and accessible medicines.
Prior to joining Zydus Health Care Ltd, Jigar Thakkar built a distinguished finance leadership career across prominent pharmaceutical, consulting, and corporate finance organizations. Most recently, he served as Head of Business Finance at USV PRIVATE LIMITED, where he was responsible for driving financial performance, strategic planning, and operational execution across business units.
Earlier, he held the role of Senior Vice President – Corporate Finance at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he led corporate finance, reporting, budgeting, disclosures, and financial governance initiatives. His career also includes a significant tenure at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where he worked in senior group finance leadership roles, contributing to M&A, capital raising, IPO-related activities, and enterprise-level financial oversight.
Before transitioning into large-scale pharma leadership roles, Jigar Thakkar spent over four years with Rolta India Limited as Divisional Director, leading consolidated financial reporting, global subsidiary governance, debt restructuring, budgeting, and investor support across international markets. He was also recognized during this phase with the CFO Next 100 award for consecutive years, reflecting excellence in financial leadership and governance.
A substantial foundation of his career was built at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, where he progressed from audit and IFRS advisory roles to Director, shaping large-scale financial reporting frameworks, capital structuring initiatives, and strategic finance programs for complex organizations.
Jigar Thakkar is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and an ACCA-qualified finance professional. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai and has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through Strategic Management studies at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
