Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States, October 2025 — Nextern has announced the appointment of Jill Becker as its new Director of Human Resources, marking an important leadership addition as the company continues to advance its mission of designing and manufacturing innovative medical devices. Jill brings over 15 years of human resources experience across manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare, with a proven track record in employee relations, organizational development, and strategic HR management.
In her new role, Jill will lead Nextern’s HR strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational capability building. She will play a key role in shaping a people-first culture that supports the company’s fast-paced innovation environment, ensuring that HR initiatives align closely with Nextern’s values of passion, integrity, and impact.
Prior to joining Nextern, Jill served as Human Resources Manager at Midwest Rubber Service & Supply Company, where she successfully developed and implemented HR strategies that supported business objectives across a 75-employee organization. She led initiatives in payroll management, employee engagement, compliance, and workplace safety, and was instrumental in establishing a company-wide culture committee to improve organizational climate and collaboration.
Before her tenure at Midwest Rubber, Jill spent over 13 years at Bell Bank, where she held multiple roles, most recently as Human Resources Specialist. She managed key HR functions including benefits administration, onboarding, recruitment, payroll processing, and employee relations. Her efforts in leading open enrollment and organizing cultural events contributed significantly to strengthening company engagement and retention.
Jill also gained early-career experience at Universal Circuits Inc., where she handled end-to-end HR functions including compliance, benefits, and employee relations, and at Star Exhibits & Environments, where she advanced from HR Assistant to Human Resources Generalist, leading payroll, onboarding, and training programs while participating in health and safety committees.
Education
Jill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from the University of St. Thomas, where she developed a strong foundation in people management, organizational behavior, and labor relations—skills that have guided her successful HR leadership journey.
