Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – November 2024 – Sourav Majumdar has taken on the role of Editor-in-Chief of Fortune India and Group Editor—Business Publications at RPSG Group. In his new role, Sourav will be responsible for guiding editorial direction and elevating Fortune India’s presence as a leading voice in business journalism.
Prior to his return to Fortune India, Sourav served as Editor at Business Today for over three years, where he was instrumental in driving editorial initiatives and strengthening its position in the business journalism landscape. Before that, he was Editor at Fortune India from 2018 to 2021, during which he played a key role in expanding Fortune India’s reach and impact across critical economic narratives.
Before joining Fortune India, Sourav was with Forbes India as Editor and Managing Editor, overseeing content strategy and executing editorial initiatives that amplified the brand’s presence in India’s competitive media market. Additionally, his experience includes a stint as Editor-in-Chief at Entrepreneur India, where he led business insights for India’s startup ecosystem and expanded entrepreneurial narratives.
Earlier in his career, Sourav held senior editorial roles at The Financial Express and Business Standard, where he specialized in corporate and financial markets reporting, offering critical insights into India’s capital markets and corporate developments. His extensive experience in business journalism positions him as an ideal leader to steer Fortune India’s vision forward.
