Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Anusha Garg has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Rewards and Benefits, Group HR at Aditya Birla Group, marking a significant progression in her more than eight-year journey with the global conglomerate.
In her new role, Anusha will contribute to the Group’s rewards and benefits agenda, building on her experience in total rewards strategy, employee benefits design, HR business partnering, talent management, employee relations, leadership development, and workforce analytics.
Prior to this promotion, Anusha served for three years as General Manager, Rewards and Benefits, Group HR at Aditya Birla Group. In this role, she developed extensive experience across total rewards strategies and employee benefits, supporting the Group’s broader people and organisational priorities.
Earlier, she worked as Assistant General Manager, HR Business Partner at Hindalco, providing strategic HR partnership to five CXOs and their teams, representing more than 350 employees across functions including finance and accounts, IT and digital, strategy and new ventures, manufacturing, enterprise risk management, corporate communications, and HR.
During this assignment, Anusha contributed to the programme management office for Hindalco’s HR strategy, supporting initiative execution, resource planning, and governance. She also led the company’s Great Place to Work assessment and designed an automated HR dashboard using Power BI to improve access to workforce data for business leaders.
Before moving into HR business partnering, Anusha served as Manager, Employee Relations at Hindalco’s Taloja unit, where she supported more than 290 workmen and 220 contract workers. Her responsibilities included statutory compliance, industrial relations, disciplinary processes, apprentice programmes, administration, and workforce reporting. She also led the implementation of a contract labour management system across six units.
Anusha began her career with the Group through the Aditya Birla Group Leadership Program, completing assignments across Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Group HR, and Novelis. Her work covered learning and development, job architecture, succession planning digitisation, talent analytics, competency assessment, organisational effectiveness, change management, and global mobility.
Before joining Aditya Birla Group, she worked with Bharti Airtel as a Young Leader Intern, contributing to the development of an employee value proposition and a candidate experience application. Her work involved HR analytics across more than 17,000 data points, employer-brand research, alumni interviews, predictive analysis, and candidate journey design.
Anusha holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Nirma University. During her undergraduate studies, she co-authored, presented, and published a research paper proposing a novel algorithm at an international conference and in a journal.
