Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India, September 2024 – Jitendra Mishra has been promoted as Senior Vice President at Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing key strategic initiatives, driving innovation, and contributing to the growth and success of the organization. With an extensive background in IT leadership and smart manufacturing, Jitendra brings valuable expertise to his new position at Akums, a leader in pharmaceutical contract manufacturing.
Before taking on his new role, Jitendra Mishra served as Vice President – CIO at Akums Group for more than two years, where he was instrumental in leading digital transformation initiatives and overseeing cross-functional leadership efforts. His contributions were pivotal in optimizing business processes and integrating cutting-edge technologies within the organization.
Prior to Akums, Jitendra was the Group CIO at Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited for approximately three years, where he led IT strategies focused on smart manufacturing and digital transformation. His efforts in enhancing user experience through emerging technologies significantly elevated the company’s IT business delivery.
Earlier in his career, Jitendra worked as VP – CIO at Wanbury Limited for nearly five years, where he was responsible for driving the adoption of SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics, and Cloud) technologies to enhance business operations and customer satisfaction.
Jitendra also held the position of Global IT Head at SIRO Clinpharm Pvt. Ltd. for over a year, where he provided IT leadership and implemented enterprise-wide information systems to support distributed and centralized business operations.
