Perth, Western Australia, Australia, June 2025 – Jo Bornmann has been appointed as Head of Strategic People Enablement at Synergy (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation), Western Australia’s leading energy generator and retailer. In this pivotal role, Jo will spearhead strategic people initiatives to advance Synergy’s organisational effectiveness and help shape a high-performance, future-ready culture as the company leads Western Australians toward an intelligent energy future.
Prior to joining Synergy, Jo Bornmann held the position of Head of People and Capability at Pioneer Credit Limited, where she was instrumental in building organisational P&C capability by leading strategy, talent, organisational development, health & safety, learning & development, and payroll functions. Her leadership supported Pioneer’s people objectives and contributed significantly to the company’s strategic goals over more than two years.
Previously, Jo spent over seven years with RAC WA, progressing through several impactful roles including Culture, Capability & People Experience Senior Manager, People Strategy Senior Manager & Capability Lead, and Project Lead for Transformation Programs. At RAC WA, she was responsible for delivering transformational change in culture, capability, and employee experience, as well as advising on talent, strategy, and organisation capabilities to future-proof the organisation.
Earlier in her career, Jo held leadership roles in the recruitment and hospitality sectors, including National Recruitment Manager at Pinnacle People Australia, where she partnered with top hospitality businesses to deliver recruitment strategies and business development initiatives nationwide. She also gained valuable experience in executive search and selection, and was Executive Manager, Food and Beverage at Rydges Hotels & Resorts, managing teams and business operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Throughout her career, Jo Bornmann has demonstrated expertise in talent strategy, organisational change, HR best practices, business development, and people experience—making her well-equipped to drive Synergy’s people enablement agenda as the company continues to grow and evolve in the dynamic energy sector.
