With over two decades of human resources management experience in the retail and support sectors, Thompson is set to lead the HR strategy at one of the UK’s leading timber supply conglomerates.
Thompson recently held the role of Senior HR Business Partner at Redde Northgate plc, where she has been instrumental since November 2021. Her responsibilities involved overseeing HR functions for group services, emphasizing strategic integration and employee management across various levels.
Before her stint at Redde Northgate, Thompson was a Senior HR Business Partner at Macmillan Cancer Support from September 2019 to November 2021. Her role included developing and implementing HR strategies that support the overall mission and operational needs of the organization.
Her tenure at Marks and Spencer, which spanned nearly a decade, saw her in several pivotal roles, from Divisional Workforce Planning & Talent Manager to Retail Lead on Apprenticeships. These positions had her responsible for apprenticeship strategies, workforce planning, and talent development across the UK.
Throughout her earlier career, Thompson managed significant HR functions involving recruitment, training, and development, notably during her time with Marks and Spencer in various managerial capacities. Her work has consistently focused on enhancing organizational performance and employee engagement through innovative HR solutions.
