Lapu-Lapu, Central Visayas, Philippines, June 2024 – John Christopher Ruiz is ecstatic and excited to start his new role as Director of Human Resources at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan. With a proven track record in human resources management, John brings extensive experience and expertise to his new position at this award-winning resort.
John joined Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan as the Assistant Director of Human Resources in April 2023. During his tenure, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision, significantly contributing to the resort’s HR functions and overall employee satisfaction. His efforts in streamlining HR processes and enhancing employee engagement were instrumental in his promotion to Director of Human Resources.
Prior to joining Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, John spent nearly five years at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. He started as a Human Resources Generalist in February 2018, where he was responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. His dedication and skillset led to his promotion to Human Resources Supervisor in November 2019. In this role, John excelled in managing employee relations, training, and development programs, further honing his HR expertise.
In October 2021, John was promoted to Assistant Human Resources Manager at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. In this role, he successfully led HR initiatives, improved employee engagement, and fostered a positive workplace culture. His leadership and strategic planning capabilities were key to his success in this position, setting the stage for his future accomplishments at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan.
John’s career in human resources began at Marriott Dubai Harbour Hotel and Suites in November 2016 as a Human Resources Generalist. There, he managed recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, contributing to the hotel’s operational success. Before that, he served as a Human Resources Administrator at Hilton Dubai Creek from August 2015 to November 2016, where he gained valuable experience in HR operations and administrative support.
