New York City Metropolitan Area, May 2026 — Fiserv has appointed Milind Nagnur as Chief Technology Officer for its Financial Institutions Group (FIG). In this role, he will lead the company’s technology and engineering strategy focused on enabling banks, credit unions, and financial institutions to scale through advanced banking and payments solutions. Milind stated that his team will focus on building resilient, AI-driven, and precision-engineered platforms supporting real-time payments, secure processing, and data-driven decision-making across the financial ecosystem.
Milind brings extensive global leadership experience across banking, payments, fintech, healthcare technology, AI, operations, and digital transformation. Prior to joining Fiserv, he served as Chief Technology Officer (Tech, Ops, Data, AI) at Optum, where he focused on transforming healthcare payments and financial services through advanced technology and AI-driven innovation. He also served as a Board Member at Zeta, contributing to strategic technology and fintech initiatives. Earlier, he was Chief Technology & Operations Officer and Group President at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he led enterprise technology modernization and operational transformation initiatives across the banking business.
Before this, Milind held senior technology leadership roles at Early Warning Services, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, supporting digital payments and fraud mitigation initiatives including the Zelle Network. He also worked as EVP & CIO at Wells Fargo, and spent over a decade with Citigroup in senior technology leadership positions including Managing Director. His earlier experience includes leadership roles with JPMorgan, BusinessEdge Solutions, and Price Waterhouse Coopers, building deep expertise across financial technology, enterprise architecture, payments infrastructure, risk management, and digital banking transformation.
An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Milind Nagnur is widely recognized for combining engineering depth, AI-driven innovation, banking expertise, and customer-centric technology leadership. At Fiserv, he is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing next-generation banking platforms, intelligent payments infrastructure, and scalable financial technology ecosystems for global financial institutions.
