Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland has officially announced Joyce McCarthy as its new Chief People Officer. In her new role, McCarthy is poised to lead the Human Resources strategy at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, with a focus on optimizing organizational performance and enhancing employee engagement across the company.
Joyce McCarthy brings with her a wealth of experience, spanning over 25 years in human resources and strategic leadership roles. Prior to her current appointment, she served as the Divisional People Partner at Vhi, where she was instrumental in shaping human resources strategies that support long-term corporate health and customer satisfaction. McCarthy also held significant positions at Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group, where she was involved in executive leadership and strategic HR functions, enhancing workforce capabilities and driving significant cultural transformations.
At Barclays, she was the Vice President of Group Technology HR from February 2019 to January 2021, focused on the design and implementation of people strategies across the technology division. Before Barclays, she provided leadership at Lloyds Banking Group as Chief of Staff in Commercial Banking, where her strategic oversight was critical in aligning HR initiatives with broad corporate goals.
In addition to her roles in the corporate sector, McCarthy’s earlier positions include being the Director of Performance Management at a major financial institution, where she developed key strategies for performance optimization and workforce engagement.
