Vilnius, Lithuania, October 2025 — BIOK LAB has announced the appointment of Julija Sosunova as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), bringing over a decade of experience in marketing, brand strategy, and sales leadership. In her new role, Julija will lead BIOK LAB’s global marketing and brand development initiatives, overseeing the company’s efforts to strengthen its position as a leading innovator in natural and scientific skincare solutions. She will focus on expanding BIOK LAB’s market presence across Europe, enhancing brand storytelling, and driving consumer engagement rooted in the company’s mission of combining nature and science for healthier skin.
Before joining BIOK LAB, Julija spent over four years with BARBORA Lietuva, where she held progressive leadership roles culminating in her position as Head of Marketing and Sales. During her tenure, she successfully built data-driven marketing models, optimized ROI across multiple channels, and led brand communication strategies that significantly increased customer retention and loyalty. Her leadership in aligning sales planning with marketing execution helped strengthen BARBORA’s market leadership in the e-commerce and FMCG sectors across the Baltics.
Prior to BARBORA, Julija worked as a Freelance Marketing Strategist, collaborating with brands in the FMCG space on product positioning, packaging and design strategies, and brand communication frameworks. This entrepreneurial phase deepened her understanding of consumer behavior and honed her ability to craft marketing strategies that balance creativity with commercial outcomes.
Earlier in her career, Julija held multiple roles at Birštonas Mineral Water, Lithuania’s largest mineral water producer. As Brand Manager, she was responsible for strategic portfolio management of leading brands such as Vytautas, Akvilė, and Birutė, overseeing rebranding projects, market research, and integrated communication campaigns. Her success in managing large-scale brand repositioning initiatives contributed to the company’s growing global presence. She also gained early professional experience as an Analyst at ESTEP and as an Intern at the U.S. Department of State, where she supported event coordination and project management activities.
Julija holds a Master of Management in Finance, Strategic Management, and Leadership from the ISM University of Management and Economics, which further complements her strong strategic and analytical foundation in business and marketing leadership.
