United States, October 2025 — Kaled Awada has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Eaton, a global intelligent power management company. In this leadership role, he will oversee Eaton’s global human capital strategy, workforce transformation, and organizational culture initiatives as the company continues to drive sustainable growth through innovation, electrification, and digitalization.
Prior to rejoining Eaton, Kaled served as Chief People Officer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), where he led the organization’s people strategy through a period of major transformation and modernization. His work focused on fostering employee engagement, improving leadership capability, and building a culture of accountability and inclusion across PG&E’s workforce in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before his tenure at PG&E, Kaled held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Tenneco, a Fortune 500 global automotive supplier. There, he played a pivotal role in the integration of the $5 billion Federal-Mogul acquisition, as well as the planning of Tenneco’s separation into two public companies. He successfully advanced strategic initiatives around executive compensation, diversity, and organizational restructuring, driving measurable progress in talent and culture transformation.
Kaled also brings significant global experience from his three-year tenure at Aptiv, where he served as Vice President, Human Resources for both the Electrical and Electronic Distribution Systems (EEDS) business and the Asia Pacific region. He was responsible for HR operations across more than 100,000 employees, overseeing workforce strategy, regional HR services, and digital HR transformation initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Kaled spent nine years with Eaton Corporation, holding multiple leadership roles across North America, Asia, and South America, including Vice President of Human Resources – Electrical Sector APAC and Director of HR for Global HR Transformation. During this period, he designed and implemented global HR processes, led large-scale change initiatives, and served as Country HR Director for Brazil, reinforcing his expertise in managing complex, multi-region organizations.
Kaled currently serves on the Board of Directors at Solid Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLDP), a leading developer of solid-state battery technology for electric vehicles and energy storage. His board experience further enhances his perspective on human capital, ESG leadership, and workforce innovation in advanced technology sectors.
