Colombo, Sri Lanka, September 2025 — Innovation Quotient (IQ) has announced the appointment of Kareema Sourjah as Head of People & Culture. In this role, she will be responsible for shaping the company’s people strategy, fostering a culture of innovation, and strengthening employee engagement as IQ continues to expand its global presence.
Kareema has been part of Innovation Quotient for more than six years, most recently serving as Head of Business Design, where she led transformational initiatives to integrate design thinking into business models. Earlier, as Assistant Manager Business Design and later as Business Designer, she played a pivotal role in embedding human-centered approaches to business transformation across client engagements.
Prior to joining Innovation Quotient, Kareema worked with MAS Holdings as Development Merchandiser for Calvin Klein, where she managed product development and merchandising operations, and earlier as a Management Trainee in merchandising.
She began her career with Nations Trust Bank PLC as a Banking Trainee, gaining exposure to the financial services sector, and also interned with McQuire Rens & Jones, where she developed early insights into business and management practices.
Kareema holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Staffordshire, equipping her with a strong academic foundation to complement her practical experience in people leadership and business design.
