New York City Metropolitan Area, United States March 2026 — Karim Baghdady has joined Arqaam Capital as Managing Director, bringing nearly three decades of experience in capital markets, international sales, and institutional investor engagement.
In his new role at Arqaam Capital, Karim will contribute to strengthening the firm’s institutional investment banking capabilities across emerging and frontier markets, leveraging his extensive network across US and global capital markets.
Prior to joining Arqaam Capital, Karim served as Managing Director at EFG Holding, following a distinguished tenure as CEO of EFG Hermes USA, where he led the firm’s US operations for over seven years. During this period, he played a pivotal role in expanding US institutional investor relationships and positioning the firm as a strong bridge between global capital markets and Middle East investment opportunities.
Earlier in his career, he served as Director of International Sales – US at CI Capital, focusing on developing the US market presence for the firm and collaborating across research, investment banking, and asset management teams. He also held the role of Managing Director at Beltone Enclave Securities, where he built and led the US sales platform, strengthening relationships with institutional investors and driving market share growth.
Karim began his professional journey as a Member of the NYSE and Floor Trader at Mogavero, Lee & Company, Inc., building foundational experience in trading and market operations.
With deep expertise spanning capital markets, investor relations, geopolitical risk, and private equity networks, Karim Baghdady’s appointment marks a significant addition to Arqaam Capital’s leadership team as the firm continues to expand its presence across emerging markets.
