Karl Crowther Takes Expanded Leadership Role at UiPath as Vice President – Middle East, Africa, India and South East Asia

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, June 2026 — UiPath, a global leader in agentic automation and artificial intelligence-powered enterprise automation, has expanded the leadership responsibilities of Karl Crowther, appointing him as Vice President – Middle East, Africa, India and South East Asia.

The expanded role broadens Karl’s remit beyond the Middle East and Africa to include India and Southeast Asia, placing him in charge of one of UiPath’s most strategically important growth regions. He will oversee all go-to-market activities across the combined geography, including sales, customer engagement, partner ecosystems, talent development, and regional growth strategy.

Commenting on the expanded mandate, Karl expressed enthusiasm about working with UiPath’s teams across Asia while continuing to support the company’s strong momentum across the Middle East and Africa. His appointment comes as organizations across these markets increasingly accelerate investments in AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Karl joined UiPath earlier this year as Vice President – Middle East & Africa (MEA), where he was responsible for leading the company’s operations across the region, including teams and offices in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. Under his leadership, UiPath continued strengthening its position as a trusted partner for enterprises seeking to scale automation and AI-driven transformation.

Prior to joining UiPath, Karl spent nearly five years with Alteryx, where he most recently served as Vice President Sales – MEA & APAC. In that role, he led business operations across the Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia-Pacific markets, driving growth strategy, talent expansion, market development, and customer engagement initiatives. Earlier, he served as Regional Vice President – Middle East Africa, where he successfully scaled regional operations and expanded the company’s market presence across key industries.

Before Alteryx, Karl held leadership positions with Automation Anywhere, one of the pioneers in robotic process automation. As Regional Sales Director – Middle East, he led enterprise sales initiatives across the region, helping organizations deploy intelligent automation solutions to transform business operations and improve efficiency.

His earlier career includes leadership roles with SAS, where he managed the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) business across the Middle East, and Qlik, where he held regional leadership positions spanning the Middle East and Africa as well as Saudi Arabia. During these years, he played a significant role in expanding enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making capabilities across government and private sector organizations.

Karl also held regional leadership positions with Polycom, overseeing services revenue and channel development across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Russia, and the CIS region. Earlier, he worked with Atos, Civica, and NCC Group, building extensive expertise in enterprise software sales, cybersecurity, digital transformation, public sector engagement, and strategic business development.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Karl has built deep expertise across enterprise technology sales, automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, cybersecurity, channel development, go-to-market strategy, organizational scaling, and regional business leadership. His experience leading diverse teams across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia positions him strongly to drive UiPath’s next phase of growth across some of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.

His expanded appointment reflects UiPath’s commitment to strengthening its leadership presence across emerging markets as enterprises increasingly adopt agentic automation, AI-powered workflows, and intelligent business operations.
