Anchorage, Alaska, USA, July 8, 2024 — Teya Development Company, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Karla Grumman as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective July 8, 2024. Grumman will lead the overall strategy, administration, compliance, and evaluation of human resources operations, policies, procedures, and programs.
With over 30 years of broad HR experience, Grumman is known for adding value through driving business excellence, efficiency, automation, internal controls, compliance, and benefits optimization. Prior to joining Teya, she served as Vice President of Human Resources (and CHRO) at Bering Straits Native Corporation.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Grumman spent her early childhood in Germany, where her father worked as an Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The family returned to Anchorage during the Pipeline Boom and has called it home ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In her free time, Grumman enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, and fishing with her husband and two adult children. She is also a native German speaker.
