Gurugram, Haryana, India, January 2026 – Kartik Bharatram has been re-appointed as Joint Managing Director of SRF Limited for a further five-year term, reaffirming the Board’s confidence in his leadership and long-standing contribution to the company’s growth and strategic direction. In his role, he will continue to drive SRF Limited’s long-term vision, operational excellence, and value creation across its diversified businesses spanning chemicals, packaging films, and technical textiles.
Kartik Bharatram has been associated with SRF Limited for over three decades, making him one of the most enduring and influential leaders within the organization. He was elevated as Joint Managing Director in 2022 after serving the company in multiple senior leadership capacities. During this phase, he has played a pivotal role in shaping corporate strategy, strengthening global competitiveness, and expanding SRF’s footprint across high-growth specialty chemical and advanced material segments.
Prior to his current role, he served as Deputy Managing Director of SRF Limited for nearly 29 years. This long tenure was marked by deep involvement in business transformation initiatives, capacity expansion projects, and the institutionalization of world-class management practices. His leadership coincided with SRF’s evolution from a domestic manufacturer into a globally recognized, innovation-driven enterprise.
Over the years, Kartik Bharatram has been instrumental in embedding a culture of quality and operational discipline across the organization. His stewardship supported SRF’s adoption of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles, which later earned the company the prestigious Deming Prize for its Tyre Cord and Chemicals businesses. He has consistently emphasized sustainable growth, strong governance, and technology-led differentiation.
An alumnus of the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he completed his MBA, Kartik combines global management perspectives with deep institutional insight. His re-appointment signals continuity of purpose as SRF pursues its next phase of expansion in fluorochemicals, specialty chemicals, performance films, and technical textiles.
