Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, January 2026 – Sanjeev Sharma has taken on a new role as Director – Talent Acquisition at Tata Semiconductors (Tata Electronics). Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, he will contribute to building India’s rapidly evolving semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as Tata Electronics strengthens its vision of creating a trusted, end-to-end semiconductor value chain for global customers spanning EMS, chip packaging, foundry, and design services.
In this role, Sanjeev Sharma will lead large-scale talent acquisition strategies to support Tata Semiconductors’ ambitious growth plans. He will focus on attracting world-class semiconductor talent, building leadership pipelines, and partnering with business teams to enable India’s emergence as a global hub for advanced electronics manufacturing.
Prior to joining Tata Semiconductors, Sanjeev Sharma spent over a decade with NXP Semiconductors, where he served as Talent Acquisition Regional Lead, Noida and later as India Talent Acquisition Leader. During this long tenure, he played a central role in shaping the company’s India hiring strategy, supporting high-growth engineering teams, and establishing strong employer branding in the competitive semiconductor talent market. His experience included leading large recruitment programs and integrating talent processes following the acquisition of Freescale by NXP.
Before NXP, he was associated with Freescale Semiconductor as Senior Lead – Talent Acquisition, where he managed specialized hiring for semiconductor engineering roles and built deep expertise in niche skill sourcing. His contributions helped scale critical technology teams and strengthen hiring frameworks aligned to global standards.
Earlier in his career, Sanjeev Sharma worked with Tejas Networks as HR Business Partner and Staffing Specialist for more than six years. He managed end-to-end recruitment for telecom R&D roles, collaborated closely with product unit leaders, and drove campus hiring across premier institutes including IITs and NITs. He also handled post-joining processes, HR reporting, and statutory compliance, gaining a strong foundation in strategic HR operations.
He began his professional journey with Alp Consulting Ltd. as a Technical Recruiter, where he developed core capabilities in technology hiring and stakeholder management that shaped his later leadership roles in talent acquisition.
