Hyderabad, Telangana, India – December 2025 – Karuna Vempala has joined Covasant as SVP, Global Head – Talent Acquisition, where he will spearhead the company’s global hiring strategy and strengthen Covasant’s leadership pipeline. In this new role, he will lead scalable recruitment operations across regions, with a strong focus on building next-generation talent capabilities at Covasant’s AI Innovation Center in Hyderabad.
Prior to this appointment, Karuna Vempala served as Talent Acquisition Leader at Elmer Technologies, where he led strategic hiring efforts across India and global markets. His focus included building employer branding, recruitment frameworks, and candidate experience for a rapidly scaling enterprise technology firm.
He spent over a decade at Cigniti Technologies (A Coforge Company), most recently as Senior Vice President – Global Talent Acquisition. At Cigniti, he managed hiring across 20+ countries and led recruitment for advanced skills including AI, ML, full-stack development, and digital engineering. He played a central role in helping the company scale towards its $1 billion vision.
Karuna previously held several leadership roles at CSC, AppLabs, and Nomus, where he built deep domain expertise in global hiring models, digital sourcing strategies, and building talent communities across geographies and niche tech domains.
