PEAK Wind – Renewable Services has announced Kasper Alexander Kildegaard Simonsen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 2024. This appointment marks a significant milestone in Simonsen’s career, reflecting his extensive experience and expertise in financial and asset management within the renewable energy industry.
Before stepping into his role as CFO, Simonsen served as the Director of Commercial & Financial Asset Management and Chief Consultant at PEAK Wind, a tenure that spanned over two years. During this period, he demonstrated an exceptional capability in managing financial assets and commercial strategies, contributing substantially to the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Simonsen’s professional journey is marked by significant roles at leading energy firms, including Vattenfall, where he headed the Asset Management Offshore Wind division, and Ørsted, formerly DONG Energy. At Ørsted, he held various leadership positions, notably as the Head of OMA Business Management DK/DE & Contract Optimisation – Wind Power. His career at Ørsted enriched his experience in operational management and financial analysis, laying a strong foundation for his new role at PEAK Wind.
In his new capacity as CFO, Simonsen is expected to leverage his deep understanding of the financial aspects of renewable energy projects and his strategic insights into asset management to guide PEAK Wind through its next phase of growth and innovation.
